ECO Director for HRSD, Dr. Husnu Tekin participated in the Seventh North and Central Asia Multi-Stakeholder Forum on the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG Forum), held virtually on November 1-2, 2023.
Briefing the participants, Mr. Tekin underlined ECO’s activities on SDGs, including the Organization’s efforts to enhance global partnership, preparations to develop an Action Plan on Policy Coherence and to convene the 1st Sustainable Development Forum as well as formulation of the SDGs Performance Index for the region.
The event reviewed the inclusive, resilient and sustainable regional strategies to identify and address the challenges with a view to accelerating the implementation of SDGs, particularly Goal 1 (No Poverty), Goal 2 (Zero Hunger), Goal 13 (Climate Action), Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) and Goal 17 (Partnership for the Goals).
