Mr. Atta Muhammad Murtaza Durrani, Head of Country Delegation of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) in Iran visited ECO Secretariat on August 16, 2023. The delegation met with Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Kashif Zaman and discussed various issues concerning bilateral cooperation between the two organizations.
The Deputy Secretary General Mr. Zaman, appreciating IFRC’s humanitarian services especially in ECO Member states, stressed upon the need to enhance and diversify the level of existing cooperation between the two organizations.
Mr. Durrani briefed the Deputy Secretary General about role and activities of IFRC. He noted that cooperation among different regional blocks and organizations is required in order to address the emerging challenges.
Both sides expressed desire to continue and expand the process of mutual collaboration.
