The ECO Secretary General H.E.Mr. Khusrav Noziri, called on the Honourable Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran H.E. Dr. Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, on the sidelines of the 15th ECO Summit at Ashgabat, on 28 November 2021.
The two sides during their interaction discussed the bilateral and multilateral cooperation amongst the ECO Member States. The ECO Secretary General highlighted the importance of enhancing intra-trade and noting that Iran's receptive and supported approach has extensively helped promote the agendaof the organization in the greater regional interests and also follow-ups and suggestions by H.E. Dr. Ebrahim Raisi, Honourable President of the Islamic Republic of Iran during the 15th ECO Summit in Ashgabat.
The Honourable Foreign Minister thanked the Secretary General for breifing regarding ECO and reassuring him of Iran's continued support to organization's objectives of joint economic development of the Member States.
In addition, the two sides looked into some fresh avenues, to move forward for future developments in the region.
