The ECO Secretary General Dr. Asad M. Khan called on the Honorable President of the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon during his visit to Dushanbe.
During the meeting the Honorable President highlighted Tajikistan’s commitment to and active role in advancing ECO’s goals and objectives.
Dr. Khan expressed his gratitude to the President for receiving him, appreciated Tajikistan’s important contributions to the work of ECO. He congratulated the Honorable President after the treaty of State Border finalization between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, both important members of ECO and brotherly countries. He also welcomed the forthcoming International Conference on Glaciers Preservation in May this year in Dushanbe and confirmed active participation of ECO in the important event. He noted that 2025 is a significant year for the ECO, with several ministerial meetings already planned. He affirmed readiness for continuing mutual cooperation in important areas of the Organization that overlaps with 4 national priority objectives of Tajikistan.
