A key point of discussion was the need for an action plan to promote education within the ECO region, with joint efforts from ECO-EI and the ECO Secretariat. The Secretary General encouraged ECO-EI to integrate environmental education into its curricula, fostering sustainability awareness and equipping future leaders with essential knowledge on environmental challenges and solutions.
Furthermore, the two sides discussed upcoming initiatives, including the “World is Our Home” project and a planned youth workshop on climate change, biodiversity, land degradation and desertification. Both events aim to raise environmental awareness among the youth and engage them in building sustainable futures.
