ECO Secretary General Dr. Asad M. Khan met with H.E. Mr. Ahmet Gurbanov, Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan, on the sidelines of the 28th Meeting of the ECO Council of Ministers.
Dr. Khan acknowledged Turkmenistan’s growing role within the ECO and commended the country for hosting several significant regional and international events. While mentioning his proposals for enhancing ECO’s effectiveness and impact, Dr. Khan invited Turkmenistan’s support to materialize those initiatives.
The discussion also touched upon the region’s development potential and Turkmenistan’s initiatives in the areas of tourism and transport. Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing the objectives of the ECO and strengthening regional cooperation, particularly under Kazakhstan’s leadership in the coming year
