ECO Secretary General Dr. Asad M. Khan met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary which holds the current Presidency of the European Union, to the Islamic Republic of Iran, H.E. Gyula Petho.
Noting that ECO is a pioneer in regional development cooperation, Dr. Khan explained the ECO activities aimed at promoting greater integration through fostering trade and transport connectivity across the ECO region. Ambassador Petho thanked him for the comprehensive briefing.
The two sides agreed to continue dialogue to further explore ways in which ECO and EU can cooperate.
