On the sidelines of the 7th Meeting of the Attorneys/Prosecutors General of the ECO Member States, ECO Secretary General Dr. Asad M. Khan held a bilateral meeting with Prosecutor General of the Supreme Court of Appeal of the Republic of Türkiye, H.E. Mr. Muhsin Şentürk.
ECO Secretary General, appreciating the regular meetings of ECO Prosecutors General and the active participation of Türkiye in the 7th Meeting, called for collective efforts for enhancing the cooperation among the Office of the Attorneys/Prosecutors General of the Member States through implementation of the Plan of Interaction and ratification of ECO Regional Center for Cooperation of Anti‑Corruption Agencies and Ombudsmen (RCCACO) by the Member States for its early operationalization. He further emphasized on regional mechanisms under ECO framework to counter money laundering and terrorism financing.
H.E. Mr. Muhsin Şentürk appreciated the ECO Secretary General for the Secretariat’s continued assistance and support to the Member States in organizing such important events and programs. He also reaffirmed Turkiye’s support in enhancing the ECO’s ambitious regional agenda, especially in strengthening institutional linkages among the Offices of Attorneys/Prosecutors General and collective efforts in addressing issues of transnational organized crimes, including money laundering, illicit financial flows, human trafficking, and corruption.
The both sides further emphasized on continuation of regional cooperation among the ECO Member States for regional peace, security and prosperity.
