On the sidelines of the 6th Meeting of the Attorneys/Prosecutors General of the ECO Member States, ECO Secretary General Dr. Asad M. Khan held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mr. Nigmatilla Yoldoshev, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Thanking the Secretary General for participating in the 6th Meeting of the Prosecutors General of ECO, the Prosecutor General emphasized that the meeting will yield constructive outcomes for strengthening cooperation between the countries in the region in all areas, especially in combating crime.
Appreciating Uzbekistan’s active role in fostering regional cooperation for economic development, Secretary General Dr. Khan conveyed sincere appreciation to Mr. Yoldashev for his sustained attention and valuable contribution to the work of the Organization, particularly for hosting the 6th Meeting of the Attorneys/Prosecutors General of the ECO Member States.
In the meeting, both sides stressed the importance of cooperation for crime control, and developing a vision to address new law enforcement challenges, including cyber-crimes, while also expressing necessity of advancing judicial and anti-corruption cooperation among ECO Member States.
