Dr. Asad M. Khan, ECO Secretary General held a meeting with the Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of Tajikistan Jamshed Jumakhonzoda in Dushanbe.
Dr. Khan acknowledged Tajikistan’s rich history as a pivotal point on the Silk Road, facilitating trade and cultural exchange, and emphasized the importance of preserving this cultural heritage while promoting it as a key aspect of tourism cooperation within the ECO framework.
Mr. Jumakhanzoda reaffirmed Tajikistan’s readiness for cooperation in promoting tourism industry within ECO region and expressed interest in exchanging experiences and expanding of cooperation in this field.
