Dr. Asad M. Khan, ECO Secretary General held a meeting with the Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan, H.E. Mr. Sherali Kabir during his bilateral visit to Dushanbe.
Reaffirming Tajikistan’s strong support for ECO initiatives, Minister Kabir highlighted enhancing regional cooperation within ECO framework in the industrial sector with a focus on new technologies.
Ambassador Khan briefed the Minister on upcoming important ECO Ministerial Meetings in Trade, Finance, Tourism and Transport, as well as the 17th ECO Summit to be held in Azerbaijan, on 3-4 July, 2025. Noting that industrialization is a key priority for ECO, which is well aligned with the national development strategy of Tajikistan, he conveyed the ECO Secretariat’s readiness to closely work with the Industry and New Technologies Ministry of Tajikistan to advance the regional industrialization agenda.
