ECO Secretary General Ambassador Khusrav Noziri held a virtual meeting with H.E. Mr. Ilkhom Mahkamov, Minister of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan on 31 August, 2023.
Availing the opportunity, the Secretary General congratulated the Republic of Uzbekistan on the country’s “Independence Day” and underlined the role of Uzbekistan as an important Member of ECO with its strategic location in connecting the region.
During the meeting parties discussed the date and details of organization of the upcoming 12th Ministerial Meeting on Transport to be hosted by Uzbekistan in Tashkent in 2023. The interaction also discussed Uzbekistan’s accession to the ECO Transit Transport Framework Agreement.
