While visiting Isfahan to attend the Meeting of the Board of Trustees of ECO Science Foundation, the Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization Ambassador Khusrav Noziri met with the Representatives of Isfahan Chamber of Commerce (ICC) on February 13, 2023.
The ICC Director for International Affairs Mr. Keyhan Abbasian briefed the ECO Secretary General on the economic potential of the Isfahan province and their various programs and projects to support the economy of Iran.
Addressing the gathering, Ambassador Noziri highlighted some important ECO initiatives taken for accelerating trade growth and creating conducive conditions to facilitate business community in the region, including the Organization’s activities on Business Visa Facilitation, Regional Payment System and ECO Clearing Union. Emphasizing the significance of ECO Trade Agreement (ECOTA), he acknowledged that the region’s business community could potentially play a pivotal role to help implement the ECOTA.
During the meeting, the ECO Director for Trade and Investment Mr. Zahid Abbasi also made a detailed presentation on relevant engagements and trade policies of the Organization.
