The ECO Secretary General Dr. Asad M. Khan participated in the International Jewelry Forum “At the Origins of the Oxus Treasure” and Exhibition held on March 24, 2025 in Dushanbe
At the opening Session, Dr. Khan mentioned about the importance of Forum’s aims to bring forth Tajikistan’s rich traditional designs in Jewelry to the global canvas, preserving it as intangible cultural heritage. The Secretary General underlined that the Forum provides significant opportunity to increase intra-ECO trade in this sector through regional trade facilitation, investment promotion, and policy support mechanisms under ECO’s framework.
Dr. Khan also highlighted the historical linkages of ‘silk route’ for movement of goods, services, capital and people, for the modern day trade & connectivity to bring prosperity for our people.
