Economic Cooperation Organization

After successful conclusion of the 16th ECO Summit on November 9, 2023 in Tashkent, the ECO Secretary General Ambassador Khusrav Noziri had an active interaction with the Uzbek print and electronic media.
During the press conference, ECO Secretary General highlighted the significantly increasing role of Uzbekistan in Economic Cooperation Organization and its sectoral activities, alongside country’s other vital engagements at regional and international levels.


Ambassador Noziri considered the role of 16th Summit had increased manifolds as the highest ECO leadership gathered in Uzbekistan to review the Organization’s progress and activities as well as provide some thoughtful guidance for the continued improvement of ECO, especially during the emerging global disputes and current geopolitical challenges.
ECO Secretary General stated that the Summit event would be evaluating current status of regional collaboration in the ECO priority areas, including trade, connectivity, energy, tourism, agriculture, judicial & parliamentary cooperation, etc. He believed that the event’s productive outcomes would provide renewed direction to ECO and its endeavours for greater economic integration of the region.
