The ECO Secretary General Ambassador Khusrav Noziri visited Turkmenistan in connection with attending a ceremony organized on June 29, 2023 to inaugurate the newly constructed city of Arkadag. A number of eminent persons, including representatives of regional and international organizations, members of diplomatic corps and media persons also participated in the gathering. The Honourable President of Turkmenistan, H.E. Mr. Serdar Berdimuhamedov graced the event with his kind presence.
On the occasion, Ambassador Noziri presented a certificate of appreciation in recognition of Arkadag as a model of modern urban development with optimized technologies, functions and resources. He also acknowledged Turkmenistan’s role in shouldering regional and global efforts, especially the country’s action-based contribution to help achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030 (SDGs).
