The Follow-up and Coordination Unit (CFU) is the Secretariat’s focal point for preparations for/follow-up to the meetings of the decision making bodies, including COM, CPR and RPC. The CFU important functions are normally upheld through coordination among the different directorates and units of the Secretariat as well as interactions with the Member States. The CFU is also responsible for overall monitoring of implementation of the ECO annual work programmes and calendar of events. Progress reports by the Secretary General to Member States on different activities are also produced by CFU through cooperation and coordination with the relevant directorates and units.
Upon adoption of the ECO Vision 2025 and its Implementation Framework, CFU took a more focused follow-up and coordination task as per modalities envisaged in the vision.
