The Economic Cooperation Organization bade farewell to the outgoing President of the ECO Cultural Institute Tehran H.E. Mr. Murodjon Buriboev. ECO Member States, staff members of the ECO Secretariat and the ECO Cultural Institute attended the special ceremony, dedicated to bid farewell to Mr. Murodjon Buriboev, held at the ECO Secretariat on September 27, 2023.
The ECO Secretary General, Ambassador Khusrav Noziri, while delivering farewell remarks appreciated the excellent services of Mr. Murodjon Buriboev and acknowledged his outstanding and valuable contributions to broaden the vistas of cultural cooperation amongst Member States. He commended the presidency of Mr. Murodjon Buriboev, which witnessed numerous events dedicated to literature and poetry, seminars on renowned figures, commemoration of national days of ECI Member States, and featuring in various international fairs, seminars and webinars.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye, Ambassador of the Republic of the Kyrgyz Republic, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan, and the Director General for ECO and Multilateral Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran in their respective statements also acknowledged the services rendered by Mr. Murodjon Buriboev.
H.E. Mr. Murodjon Buriboev expressed his gratitude to the ECO Secretary General for honoring him with special farewell ceremony and extending relentless support to the Cultural Institute. He also briefed the participants about programs and milestones achieved during his tenure.
The ECO Cultural Institute (ECI) is one of the three Specialized Agencies of the Economic Cooperation Organization and it aims at fostering understanding and the preservation of the rich cultural heritage of its members through common projects in the field of media, literature, art, philosophy, sport, and education.
