International conference “Neutrality, peace and trust” was held on November 19, 2021 in Ashgabat, which was jointly organized by the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with Secretariat of ECO.

The conference was moderated by Mr Jumamyrat Gurbangeldiev, Rector of the Institute of International Relations.

The participants of the conference exchanged views on various aspects of interaction between Turkmenistan and Economic Cooperation Organization.

Addressing the conference Deputy Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organisation Mr Jandos Asanov noted that adoption of a UN resolution on September 9, 2021 “On cooperation between the United Nations and Economic Cooperation Organisation” is one of the valuable contributions of Turkmenistan to the advancement of common goals and objectives of the ECO area.

J. Asanov also expressed confidence that the 15th ECO Summit to be hosted by Turkmenistan on November 28, 2021 in Ashgabat would provide strategic direction for achieving the Member States’ common targets for sustainable socio-economic development in the ECO region.
