On 20 May 2025, representatives from the Agriculture and Industry Directorate of the ECO Secretariat visited the 3rd Pavilion of the Iranian Date Industry, held alongside the 32nd AGROFOOD Expo at the Tehran Fairground from 19 to 22 May 2025. The Pavilion highlights leading Iranian date producers and serves as a platform for engagement among key public and private sector stakeholders.
During the visit, Mr. Can Aygul, Director for Agriculture and Industry at the ECO Secretariat, held discussions with officials from the National Date Association of Iran as well as representatives from private companies. The participating firms expressed interest in fostering partnerships with private sector actors across other ECO Member States.
