On 26 August 2025, the ECO Secretariat hosted a preparatory meeting of the A&I Directorate to discuss arrangements for the upcoming 8th ECO Ministerial Meeting and the 7th High-Level Experts Meeting (HLEM) on Agriculture, scheduled to be hosted by Iran on 17–18 November 2025.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture-Jahad and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, along with the ECO Secretariat team led by Mr. Can Aygul, Director for Agriculture and Industry. Participants reviewed preparatory work to ensure high-level participation and discussed areas of cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture-Jahad, including ECO-VECO activities. The meeting concluded with agreements on actionable steps, coordination of technical meetings, and follow-up sessions to monitor progress.
