At the invitation of the President of Turkmenistan, H.E. Serdar Berdimuhamedow, the Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), Dr. Asad M. Khan, participated in the International Forum dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, the International Day of Neutrality, and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Permanent Neutrality.
The event was attended by heads of state and government from ECO member countries and beyond, as well as by heads and representatives of international organizations.
Delivering remarks during the Plenary Session of the International Forum, “Peace and Trust: Unity of Goals for a Sustainable Future,” which was chaired by the National Leader of Turkmenistan, H.E. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, Dr. Khan commended the exceptional hospitality and excellent organization of the conference. Reflecting on Turkmenistan’s policy of permanent neutrality, Dr. Khan highlighted the country’s role in fostering peace and stability in the region and beyond.
