During his bilateral visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), H.E. Dr. Asad M. Khan, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan.
The Honourable Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong commitment to enhancing regional cooperation through greater trade integration and transport connectivity. Dr. Khan briefed the Prime Minister on ECO’s activities and initiatives including the forthcoming 17th ECO Summit, scheduled for July 3-4, 2025 in Azerbaijan. He also conveyed his determination to further energise ECO to translate regional development aspirations into tangible outcomes.
The meeting concluded with a mutual resolve to work closely for the implementation of ECO’s vision and objectives, ensuring concrete progress in the identified priority areas.
