On the sidelines of the High-Level International Conference on Glaciers’ Preservation, the Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), Dr. Asad M. Khan, held a meeting with H.E. Mohammad Reza Aref, First Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Honorable Vice President reiterated Iran’s support for ECO as its host country and its consistent efforts to contribute to the Organization’s success.
Dr. Khan expressed his gratitude for Iran’s key role in ECO. He updated on the preparations for the forthcoming 17th ECO Summit and several long-anticipated ECO ministerial meetings. Dr. Khan also emphasized the need to deepen multi-stakeholder multilateral cooperation across the ECO region to address shared challenges effectively. The meeting reaffirmed a shared commitment to fostering strong regional collaboration to advance integration and promote collective prosperity for the people of the region.
