The Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization, Dr. Asad M. Khan, held a meeting with H.E. Hikmet Hajiyev, Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration and Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The meeting focused on reviewing the preparations for the ECO Week, which is part of the forthcoming 17th ECO Summit, scheduled to take place on July 3-4, 2025, in Azerbaijan.
The ECO Summit, held biennially, will mark the third time Azerbaijan hosts this significant event. The last and 16th ECO Summit was held in 2023 in Tashkent. The 17th Summit is expected to gather Heads of State and Government from ECO Member States and invited countries, regional and international organizations, ECO observers, and subsidiary bodies. The Summit will review the Organization’s work and provide direction to deepen regional integration and ensure collective sustainable development across the ECO region.
