On 22 June 2022, H.E. Guillermo Puente Ordorica, Ambassador of Mexico in Islamic Republic of Iran visited ECO Secretariat and was welcomed by H.E. Amb. Khusrav NOZIRI, Secretary General Economic Cooperation Organization.
The meeting touched upon present pandemic situation across various regions; Second High Level International Conference on the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development 2018-2028 hosted by the Republic of Tajikistan; the recently-conducted Brainstorming Session to enhance visibility of the Economic Cooperation Organization at regional and international levels; the ongoing preparations to successfully hold 26th Session of Council of Ministers meeting in Tashkent in November 2022 and ECO Summit in 2023 in Samarkand; and the existing cooperation of ECO Secretariat with regional and international organization and various UN Specialized Agencies.
H.E. Guillermo Puente Ordorica was hopeful to explore options to enhance cooperation between Mexico and Economic Cooperation Organization.
