During his bilateral visit to Pakistan, the Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization H.E. Dr. Asad M. Khan held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Rana Tanveer Hussain, Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research.
Dr. Khan provided an overview of the upcoming ECO ministerial meetings and encouraged Pakistan’s active participation in these events. Highlighting ECO countries as extremely vulnerable to climate change and attendant threats, Dr. Khan emphasized the need for greater collaboration amongst Member States for exchanging knowledge and sharing best practices.
The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to strengthen cooperation in agriculture and food security to promote sustainability and resilience across the region.
