The Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), Dr. Asad M. Khan, held a meeting with Dr. Seyed Ahmad Reza Dastgheib, President of the Supreme Audit Court of the Islamic Republic of Iran and President of the Economic Cooperation Organization Supreme Audit Institutions (ECOSAI).
The meeting reviewed preparations for the forthcoming ECOSAI Governing Board Meeting, scheduled to be held in Tehran on January 28–29, 2026. Both sides discussed practical steps to strengthen ECO–ECOSAI collaboration and underscored the importance of aligning ECOSAI’s programs with ECO’s broader regional integration goals and priorities.
Dr. Khan reaffirmed ECO’s readiness to facilitate coordination for the Governing Board Meeting and emphasized the Organization’s commitment to working closely with ECOSAI to enhance regional collaboration among Supreme Audit Institutions and to advance sustainable development across the ECO region.
