The coordination meeting on establishment of the ECO Clean Energy Centre (CECECO) was held in a virtual mode on 1 October 2024.
The representatives of ECO Secretariat and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) participated at the online meeting.
The UNIDO delegates updated the ECO Secretariat about the ongoing fund-raising efforts and underlined the critical importance of joint resource mobilization in this respect. The ECO Secretariat shared its ideas on the format and modality of the soft launch of ECO Clean Energy Centre, which is set to be organized on 15 November 2024 on the sidelines of the 2024 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29) in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The meeting highlighted the need in speeding up preparation process, notably identifying the exact time, venue, format and other modalities of this event.
