ECO Deputies Secretary General Mr.Huseyin Avni Bicakli, Mr.Kanan Nazarov and Director of Energy, Minerals and Environment Mr.Rovshan Mirzayev paid a tribute to the commemoration event organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Islamic Republic of Iran, on February 26, 2020.
The ceremony brought together representatives of diplomatic corps, public figures, media and Azerbaijanis living in Iran. Award-winning documentary, “Black Orchards: Azerbaijan and Armenian's wars/Focal Point” has been screened for the participants. The documentary exposed recollections of Azerbaijani survivors from mass atrocity, as they seek justice.
Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Islamic Republic of Iran H.E. Mr.Bunyad Huseynov and former ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr.Mohammad Bagher Bahrami during their key note remarks condemned the actions perpetrated against civilian Azerbaijani population in the occupied Azerbaijani territories as crimes against humanity. The speakers also emphasized the importance of joint solidarity, enhanced cooperation and good neighborhood that Azerbaijan and Iran have been conducting recent years.
