The ECO Secretary General, H.E. Mr. Khusrav Noziri, participated in the International Conference entitled “Iran and Central Asia in the Mirror of Tangible and Intangible Cultural Heritage of Mongol and Ilkhanid Era alongside of the Silk Road” organized by the Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS) of Iran on June 1, 2022.
During the Inaugural Session, H.E. Noziri delivered his speech and expressed his gratitude to the organizers of the conference for taking this vital initiative for promoting shared culture, customs, art and literature of the ECO region.
The ECO Secretary General reiterated the commitment of the ECO to support regional countries in achieving goals of sustainable socio-economic development as well as to enhance visibility of regional culture and preservation of the cultural heritage alongside of the Silk Road.
Among other prominent participants, who attended the conference, were Dr. Muhammad Hassan Shaykh al-Islami, President of IPIS; Ms. Rosanna Giannandre, Officer-in-Charge of UNESCO Cluster office in Tehran, the representatives of international organizations, scholars and researchers.
