The inaugural ECO International Ethno Sport Games took place as part of the festivities commemorating Shahrisabz’s designation as the ECO Tourism Capital for 2024, on April 26, 2024.
Hosted in the historic city of Shahrisabz, Uzbekistan, the event showcased a diverse array of traditional sports from across the ECO member countries. The event included demonstration of kurash, kurash on horseback, mas-wrestling, martial arts and archery by participants from Member States.
The ethno sport games provided a platform for athletes and enthusiasts to celebrate and promote the rich cultural heritage of the ECO region through physical activity and friendly competition.
