Virtual Technical Workshop of Candidate Countries on hosting offer of ECO Clean Energy Center was held with facilitation of ECO Secretariat and UNIDO amongst the senior officials of the ECO Member States, namely, Republic of Azerbaijan, Islamic Republic of Iran and Republic of Turkey on 08 September, 2021.
The Officials from the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) as well as UNIDO attended the meeting. The main purpose of this meeting was to enable candidate countries demonstrate capability to host the Center and answer the questions according to the submitted questionnaires on their nomination.
All candidate countries delivered comprehensive presentations of their energy sector and briefed on possible venue to host the Center. While responding the questions for the assessment candidates showed keen interest to host the subject Center at prime location in their capitals, where all required amenities available for its fully-fledged operation.
